All the family will love this warm lamb salad recipe, it’s easy to make, delicousÂ to eat and cover with avocado, potatoes, stand the meat to rest in a warm place.Â This recipeÂ can be ready with minimum effort: 10 minute to prepare and 15 minute to cook.
Warm lamb salad recipe
The meat of young sheep, in their first year, is known as lamb, whereas mutton is a term used for the meat of adult sheep.Â Being rich in high-quality protein and many vitamins and minerals, lamb can be an excellent component of a healthy diet.
800g lamb steaks
1/4 cup (60ml) extra virgin olive oil
600g chat potatoes, boiled until just tender, drained, cooled
1 large ripe avocado, peeled, sliced
1/2 cup (75g) pitted green olives
4 cups (1 bunch) watercress sprigs
200g basil pesto
Step 1:Â Preheat a barbecue or char-grill plate on medium-high heat. Using a meat mallet, lightly pound lamb to fl atten slightly then brush lightly with 1 tablespoon oil.
Step 2:Â Cook lamb for 1-2 minutes each side or until cooked to your liking. Season to taste with salt and pepper, set aside.
Step 3:Â Slice potatoes and place in a large bowl together with avocado, olives, watercress, pesto and remaining oil. Season to taste. Using your hands, mix gently to combine. Divide lamb and potato mixture among plates. Serve.
